Lynn Perrott served as the Region 7 Regional Administrative Chair from 1997-2014. Her first joy was working with the athletes in our region, and she worked to support their participation in the sport at all levels. She took pride in watching our athletes reaching their goals in the sport of gymnastics, and continuing their gymnastics careers in college. Lynn had a positive outlook on life, even in the face of her illness. She will be remembered by her sense of humor and smile that she shared with the athletes, coaches and judges in Region 7. Lynn’s background in gymnastics began in dance, and she had a great appreciation for artistry expressed by our athletes. It is a fitting tribute to Lynn to offer a Memorial Scholarship in her name that will assist an athlete to continue to pursue her academic goals in college, and athletic goals in gymnastics.

The Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship will be offered annually in the amount of $5,000. to an eligible candidate that best fits the criteria offered by Lynn’s family and the Region 7 Administrative Committee.

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
1) Level 8-10 gymnast from Region 7-currently competing in the sport
2) Graduating Senior
3) Plans to attend college
4) Has not received a scholarship for gymnastics

Scholarship applications will be available here in early March. Applications will be reviewed in the spring and the scholarship recipient will be announced in late May. The scholarship recipient will be recognized at Regional Congress.

The response from the regional community for the Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship Fund has been amazing! We plan to offer this scholarship opportunity annually to keep Lynn’s memory and spirit alive in Region 7. It has been such an honor for all of us involved with this scholarship fund to be a part of this tribute to Lynn. Thank you all for your support!

The Lynn Perrott Memorial Scholarship Fund is maintained and managed within the Region 7 account.
